At Landys Chemist we are proud of the ear piercing service we offer. Our trained specialists have pierced ears for more than 20,000 people!
We use the only ear piercing system with fully-enclosed earring capsules that prevent our piercing earrings and Safety Backs from being exposed to potential contaminants prior to piercing. This means a very low risk of infection! Our earring capsules are packaged in sealed, sterilised cartridges that are not opened until selected for piercing. Unlike other systems on the market, our earrings are never exposed until they are safely inserted in the ear.
How long does Ear Piercing take?
Generally ear piercing takes less than fifteen minutes. First the ears are cleaned and measured. This helps us to determine the ideal location for the piercing. Following this the ear is marked and numbed slightly to ensure a pain free experience and finally the ear is pierced using our sterile system.
Do you do cartilage piercings?
No! We only pierce the lobes of the ears.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Bookings can be made in advance, generally this is advisable as we can get extremely busy. We have two trained specialists that work Monday-Saturdays but generally they are only available from 10am onwards. On Saturday they are both available from 9am.

How much does it cost?
The cost of the ear piercing depends upon the style of earring you choose. We have earrings which are gold plated and 24k gold and prices start from £34.99 and go up to £59.99. We have a wide selection for every budget and all our earrings are excellent quality.

Aftercare
The care at Landys doesn’t stop once your ears are pierced. Inverness Ear Care Antiseptic is specially formulated to help soothe & heal your newly pierced ears without the drying or chapping that can come from using plain old rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
Do
- Wash your hands before or after touching your ears or earrings.
- Clean the back and front of the piercing with Inverness Ear Care Solution a cotton ball three times a day.
- Rotate + slide the earrings back and forth when applying your Inverness Ear Care Solution - three times a day.
Do Not
- Take the earring out! Even if you suspect infection, come straight back to see us and let us work out the best solution. If you live far away then at least call us on 0844 414 5499 and we will do our best to consult over the phone.
- Wear Silver for the first year after your piercing is done. Silver can tarnish in the ear.
