All you need to know about Make Up

Should I use foundation or tinted moisturiser?

Think about the type of coverage you need for your look. Tinted moisturiser will give you a lighter make-up look, with a more natural effect. It will also add extra moisture into your skin, which is ideal for dry skin types. If you prefer full coverage, opt for a foundation that you can wear all day long for a flawless look.

What does 'medium coverage' mean in terms of foundation?

If you need a certain amount of coverage, but don't need to go all the way, a medium coverage foundation is your best bet, as it can be used for everyday wear. Full coverage, by contrast, might look a little too intense for everyday use, and is more appropriate for evening wear. Medium coverage foundations can also be layered and built up if you are transitioning from day to night, and are ideal for covering imperfections and blemishes.

What tools should I use to apply my eyeshadow?

Using fingers and sponge applicators that come with eyeshadow palettes often won't cut it when you are trying to create a smoky eye look. Invest in professional eyeshadow brushes that will enable you to sweep the eyeshadow across your eye and blend effectively.

How do I use a gel eyeliner?

Gel eyeliners are great for creating cat eye looks that require precision. You'll need a thin brush that you can drag and dip into the gel liner, then press and drag it towards the lash line of your top eyelid to create a smooth line. You can then either leave it like this, create a flick outwards, or smudge it with a eyeshadow brush to create a smoky look.
