What is Eucerin Urea Repair Plus 5% Urea Lotion for?
Depending on the severity of dryness, the skin tightens, is rough and is prone to scaling and reddening. The main reasons for dryness are lack of moisture and an impaired skin barrier function.
The Eucerin Urea Repair 5% Urea Lotion has been formulated with key infredients including Urea, Ceramides and Natural Moisturising Factors to support and repair the skin's own protective barrier and help prevent moisture loss. The formula improves the water binding capacity of the skin which results in substantial increase of moisture content, delivering long-lasting hydration for up to 48 hours.

Urea:
Also known as Carbamide, this is naturally produced by the skin and is part of the essential Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) which regulates the skin's moisture content. It is a humectant, binding moisture to the outermost layer of the skin, and helps the skin to get rid of dead skin cells to make it smoother. IT also has anti-itch and anti-microbial properties and is well-tolerated by dry and sensitive skin.
Ceramides:
Ceramides are important lipids which protect the skin, strengthen the skin barrier and help prevent moisture loss. Eucerin uses synthetic ceramides that are biologically identical tolock in moisture and prevent dryness and irritation.
Natural Moisturising Factors:
Natural Moisturising Factors attract and bind in water to the outermost layers of the skin, helping prevent dryness and scaly skin. The Urea Repair Plus range replicates the natural composition of NMFs in healthy skin, giving dry skin the substances it needs for optimal hydration.
